More about the Project

This large-scale remodel involved a traditional staircase, wooden balusters, and enclosing walls that divided the main living floor into segments. The surrounding rooms were dark, cramped, and not at all what the homeowners wanted.

They knew that a floating staircase would open up the room, but they were concerned about the details. Would the system be safe for family members and small ones to traverse? Would we be able to work within the constraints of her space?

To alleviate their concerns, these homeowners got their hands on physical samples of the system. That experience, paired with our collaborative design and engineering process, gave them the confidence to buy.

During installation, we went above and beyond to ensure the safety of the system — even working around a tricky space constraint with great success. This engineering process delivered a major win for their home. Not only do the white oak treads look beautiful, but the entire process, from design to installation,  gave the homeowner comfort and reassurance every step of the way.
